Leadership and Attitude
As Leaders, we look for Skills, Knowledge, and a positive attitude when we hire a candidate. Likewise, candidates only look for the company's credibility and the leader's attitude when they join the organisation.
Remember, every interaction with our subordinates proves our competency and reveals our attitude. As quoted by Theodore Roosevelt, People don't care how much you know until they know how much you care.
As Leaders, when we focus on people development, our subordinates will focus on business development.
Attitude is a combination of perception and reaction towards people and situations. If we perceive our subordinates as our internal customers, our reaction will be care and compassion; let's keep reinforcing that what cannot be achieved through care and compassion cannot be achieved through power and position.
Reflect on your attitude towards subordinates; you can understand whether there is a boss or a Leader in you.
