When first-time customers are taken care of, they will become regular customers. When regular customers are not taken for granted, they will become lifelong customers.

In intense competition, products or ambience are not the differentiators; it is how we treat our customers. Customers might expect discounts and offers, but if they encounter an experience that dents their self-respect, they dump the deals and offers but never barter their self-respect.

When you and your employees interact with customers, pay attention to your choice of words and body language. Customers evaluate every transaction; the more polite and professional it is, the more it rates you in their mental scorecard.

If what you said is polite and what you did is outstanding, they will be emotionally attached to your business and will be your unpaid marketing manager.
