Success Lessons from Boating

 Success Lessons from Boating

A youngster asked a monk, how to be successful?

The monk took him to a river and asked him to sit in a boat and started rowing the boat for a while. The youngster was puzzled and asked master "could you define what is life?

To master smiled and threw a heavy bag in the river and started rowing the boat by asking are we moving faster, the youngster replied "yes"

After a few minutes, he threw one heavier bag and repeated the same question and the youngster replied "yes"

The monk threw 3 more bags, and they reached the Destination faster.

The youngster and the old monk were walking back to the land and the youngster asked " Master you have not answered my question, the monk smiled and said "yes I know that I have not answered your question directly and stopped near a tree and said let's sit for a while so that I can answer your questions"

The monk said:

The first bag I threw was ego, when we do that, we accelerate faster in life

The second bag I threw was worries, when we do that, we use our imagination for creating something new.

The third bag I threw was hate, when we do that, we increase more well-wishers in our life for our growth.

The fourth bag I threw was guilt, when we do that, we seek forgiveness to reduce enmity

The fifth bag I threw was fear of the future, when we do that, we embrace change.

The youngster was engrossed and said master " According to you a successful person is free from

·        Ego

·        Worries

·        Hate

·        Guilt

·        Fear of the future

The master said " Let your journey be free from unwanted baggage so that you can reach your desired destination in time without pain.
