Who is right; who is wrong?

Who is right; who is wrong?

In the 21st century the "word" war sounds exciting for some and for many it sounds outrageous. What is happening in Ukraine is being watched by many across the world, there is one set of media covering the facts, there is another set of media debating who is right or wrong and on other hand, many netzines are raising their voice and sharing their opinions without knowing who is right and who is wrong.

The objective of writing this article is to not share the facts or data about Russia, Ukraine, NATO, the European Union, the US, or India’s stand. The objective is to leave some questions in readers' minds about the war in the 21st century. For the past two years, the world was under the clutches of a tiny virus that has done unrepairable damage in many Nations, we witnessed deaths, job losses, loss of business, shut down of business establishments, falling economy and many tragedies.

·         When The world has not recovered, and many families are yet to come to terms with the reality of losing their earning members, displaced families and children dropping out from schools and taking up jobs to feed themselves, at this juncture do you think Nations should talk about wars?

·         The world has witnessed many wars in the past and still Nations like Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria & many other countries are yet to rediscover themselves and envision their future, at this situation, do you think one more war is necessary?

·         The leaders of the Nations are one with exceptional communication skills, don’t you think they cannot sit and negotiate at the table?

·         Don’t you think it is better to have many rounds of talks rather than firing a few rounds of missiles on a city where innocents die in the air shelling?

·         Has the world not evolved with Emotional intelligence seeing the tragedies of the Holocaust, the bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki?

I am neither a political analyst to prove who is right or wrong nor a defense expert to tell what the armed force should do, I am a common man who keeps my fingers crossed and see my stock price falling, oil prices rising and think how it will impact my life. Though I am a common man, my common sense tells me, War in any form is dangerous, it only kills people today, it will also prepare the next generation to pay it back in the form of revenge.

Instead of taking sides with the Nations, let us bring the Nations together to stay united and protect this planet earth from many other environmental threats, it doesn’t cost billions of dollars to sit with cookies and coffees on the negotiation table, it requires non-egoistic peace-loving people to do it.

Being Jaby is being a fine human being.

Being Jaby is being a fine human being.   L&D Global Chennai Chapter was instrumental in bringing Jaby closer to my heart, our journey was not too long, but it was filled with fun, humour, joy and learning too. When Jaby was present, dullness was absent. He filled the hall with his sense of humour, and his thoughts were deep-rooted in bringing the best out of every human. Jaby was the most admired person in any forum; when Jaby picked the mic, the audience pulled themselves to the edge of the chair. Jaby was casual in his appearance, but he was a thorough professional everywhere. During COVID, if there was one person whom I counted on to help people, it was Jaby; his car was filled with masks, sanitizer and an oxygen concentrator. His social bent of mind made him a good Samaritan. Jaby was a curious child, whenever we both met, he was curious to improve his skills and knowledge, and his quest for development was limitless. Jaby and I collaborated in the year ...
