Reaching the Peak
An old Monk called two young disciples and told them to climb the stairs to the mountain's peak. One disciple is given a heavy bag, and the other is said to walk with an empty hand. He called his other disciples and told them to observe those disciples who were climbing the mountain.
After some time, the old monk asked the following questions.
1. Who reached the peak first?
The disciples said, "The person with an empty hand reached first."
2. Why did he reach fast?
A disciple replied he did not have any baggage in his hand.
The old monk said, To reach the peak in our lives, we need to offload the ego, hate, unwanted fear, worries, jealousy and any other quality that holds us from moving forward.
