Sorry, I turned out to be a waste': IIT Hyderabad student commits suicide, leaves haunting note

I read this news and it is shocking to see a student committing Suicide, I wonder how these students take such decisions.

I have been in the training industry for 21 years and so far, trained more than 20000 students and 40000 employees, I do understand not everyone has a smooth life, each one of them has certain challenges to face and problems to solve. Day in and out other people is running to settle down in their life or they are running to stay ahead, it doesn't matter what is their objective but still people run.

Let's look life as a spectator, it is a gap between birth and death. We can either fill this gap with worries, fear, Insecurity etc. Or we can fill it with challenges, happiness, relationship etc., The shovel is there in our hands.

For some, IIT is impossible, for some IIT is a dream for a few it is a destination. Mark Andrew Charles was able to reach his destination, but his suicide note tells this, “he may not get good marks and there was no future for failures in the world"

I feel pity for Mark, who was able to score marks in his school and entrance exam, but was not confident to score marks in IIT. There are many out there who take such permanent solution for a temporary problem.

I would like to emphasize my thoughts for the young students:

·         Love your life, but don't hate your failure

·         Enjoy learning, but don't barter it for a job

·         Life is a book every phase is a chapter

·         You are unique, you have a place in this planet

·         You still have a long journey to travel, your education is just a way station

·         Success and failures are others perception about your life

·         For a student who gets a placement he has one job in hand, for students who don't get it, you have many jobs in hand

·         Think like an entrepreneur, you can see more opportunities around you to give jobs rather than seeking jobs

·         While preparing for exams, do prepare for life too.

·         Taste failure to understand the value of success

Let this tragedy end with Mark Andrew Charles.

Less than a Minute Life Lesson-2410 Promotion and Character Promotion is a form of recognition for your competency and character. The Modes of Persuasion The modes of persuasion, often referred to as ethical strategies or rhetorical appeals, are devices in rhetoric that classify the speaker's appeal to the audience. They are: ethos, pathos, logos, and the less-used Kairos & telos The above model has been used by Advertisement agencies to grab the attention of the viewers and finally bring them to the purchase desk or use the cart in shopping sites. If we carefully examine the model, it has a sound application in running an effective training program too. Part-1-Ethos Application of the model in training program Ethos- Trainer Introduction There are organization where trainer and his credibility are introduced, but there are occasions where trainer does a self-intro and starts the program. In such occasions, we can request the client to handover a copy our profile to the participants along with course material. This will help the participants to know more about the trainer It is always bett...
