Merry -Go- Round
I recently came across some merry-go-round images in the internet which took me back to my child hood.

There were varieties of Merry-go-rounds- some were small, some were big, some were colourful, some were in the form of horses, cup Saucers & some were just Iron planks on which we stood. Whatever it was, the excitement and Joy was the same.

During our child hood we were focused on the fun merry-go-round gave us, but once we grew up and pay attention to it, it has lot of life lessons to offer and here are some life lessons:

  1. Merry-go-round in the school was operated manually by us, some of us will sit and others will push, after sometime we took turns. Similarly, in life we should take turns in helping each other

2. Merry-go- round taught us that, life is a cycle

3.Merry-go- round taught us that, when the mind is still the journey begins

4. Merry-go- round taught us that, at one-point things will come to a stand still

5. Merry-go-round in trade fairs taught us some part of life is colourful and it also taught us that those colourful moments don’t last long

6. When the Merry-go-round was full it taught us; in life we need to wait for our turn

7.Certain Merry-go-rounds was operated by a well-trained operator; in life we also need to be guided by a wise person

Take time to go around a Merry-go-round to experience the philosophy of life

Listen, Understand and Respond

Listen, Understand and Respond Most of the time, people listen to respond rather than to understand. By the time the other person finishes speaking, the listener is often already formulating a response. Let’s explore what happens in such situations. While listening, we may be trying to engage our logical brain to recall our memories and creativity for a response, or we may be accessing our emotional brain to defend ourselves against what is being said. For example, if one person talks about ways another could improve, the listener might offer excuses such as a lack of time, resources, or support. Alternatively, they may bring up personal emotions, like health or family issues. These reactions often occur while the other person is still speaking, leading to a decreased understanding and an increased eagerness to defend one’s position. During this type of conversation, the listener may appear restless, exhibiting a lack of eye contact or head nodding. In such interactions, th...
