Oars
of Life
Water can push or turn the boat upside down, but it
requires a skilful boatman to row the boat. Similarly, a situation can force
the person forward or change a life, but it requires skill and will to attain
our goal. Boatman is aware that without water, neither his boat nor his boating
skills matter, similarly without situations neither, our goals nor qualities
makes sense.
The flow of water is not there in hands of the
boatman, but the oars are there in his hands. Similarly, we do not have a say
in the external situation, but our will and skill are the oars that can help us
sail through the situation
