Today if we are signing the documents in our life, which is because there was a teacher who held our little fingers to make us write.

Today if we are holding the newspaper in our hand, which is because there was a teacher who had the patience to make us read.

Today if we are in Research and Development, which is because there was a teacher in the lab who helped to stay curious.

Today if we are listening with patience, that is because there was a teacher who taught us the importance of staying focused in class.

Today if we are empathising with people, which is because there was a teacher who was compassionate about our well being.

Today if we are staying determined in life, which is because there was a teacher on the play ground who told us the importance of staying determined in life.

Today if we are disciplined in life, which is because there was a teacher in the school who taught us the value of discipline in life.

Today if we are progressing in life, which is because there was a teacher who taught us the value of progress in life while giving us the progress card in our hand.

Today if we proudly call ourselves as educated, let us not forget those selfless souls who built the foundation for our intelligence and growth.

While listening, we may be trying to engage our logical brain to recall our memories and creativity for a response, or we may be accessing our emotional brain to defend ourselves against what is being said.
