Journey into the Past

When I cross my school, I stop for a while and see myself walking with my school uniform, I hear the voices of my friends calling me, I see my favourite crossing me with a breezy look and I realise i am father of a teenage son. These few minutes was a meaningful journey into my past.

When I stare at a middle-aged man for a while in busy mall and he looks at me for a while, we slowly walk towards each other and asks " Are you" and I nod my head and ask "are you", we both rise our eyes and our noise too. After sometime we realise our families were staring at us for a while. These few minutes of discussion was truly living the past.

When I locate my friend in the FB and send him a friend request, I do feel funny but once I see I am accepted thereafter I am busy. These few hours of chatting about teachers and friends was a nostalgic past.

Once I was added in a what's group I was wondering what is the group, I start scrolling to see who are there, I smile in silence and tell to self what a violent group it is and sit in my time machine to revisit my past, what a meaningful past memory it was.

Once we all meet in a coffee shop and look at each other, we smile at ourselves and tell a white lie" you look the same" but we do know we own few grounds on our head and few Tyre factories on our waist, but still we live the past with an expensive coffee in the hand. What a meaningful past journey into most memorable phase of our life.

On a busy morning we open our what's app to check the good morning message, we sometimes see a tragedy of our friends losing their dear ones. We quickly get into personal chats and reach our friends home to pay our condolences. What a meaningful act it was to be next our buddy and share our past tragedies too.

Present is beautiful, when we relive our childhood, the time has come to relive our past.

Listen, Understand and Respond

Listen, Understand and Respond Most of the time, people listen to respond rather than to understand. By the time the other person finishes speaking, the listener is often already formulating a response. Let’s explore what happens in such situations. While listening, we may be trying to engage our logical brain to recall our memories and creativity for a response, or we may be accessing our emotional brain to defend ourselves against what is being said. For example, if one person talks about ways another could improve, the listener might offer excuses such as a lack of time, resources, or support. Alternatively, they may bring up personal emotions, like health or family issues. These reactions often occur while the other person is still speaking, leading to a decreased understanding and an increased eagerness to defend one’s position. During this type of conversation, the listener may appear restless, exhibiting a lack of eye contact or head nodding. In such interactions, th...
