Treasure Box, Piggy Bank & the Dustbin

An old monk placed few items under a blanket & asked his three disciples to come forward & take any one of the items of their choice. He gave a black bag & instructed them to put the item in the black bag & also told them not reveal what they took.
All the three stood behind each other & waited for their turn to take the item of their choice & each one of them took it.'
The old monk asked the first disciple what he took, the disciple said " I took the treasure box", the second disciple also said " I too took the treasure box & the third disciple said I took the piggy bank"

The old monk asked each one of them to share their reason & the first disciple said "I liked the treasure box & I found it more attractive & I felt I can use it in the future to store some precious items.
The second disciple also said the same reason
The old monk asked the third disciple why he took the piggy bank, the disciple said "I can save for the rainy day"
The old monk asked all the three disciples "why is that none of you took the dustbin?"
All the three started looking at each other & one of them said " I found the treasure box to be more useful than the Dustbin" and the disciple who took the piggy bank said the same.
The old monk smiled and one of the disciples asked his master "What did you select, when your master conducted the same experiment? "The old monk said " I selected the treasure box"
One of the disciples asked "what was your masters view", the old monk said "nothing, he just walked away"
The old monk said after few years he conducted the same experiment, one of the disciples asked "Master what did you select?"
The old monk said "Dustbin"
The disciples looked at the dustbin as well as the master & asked "Master, why did you select the dustbin?"
The master said " Without dumping the negatives like hate, guilt, jealousy, biases etc, I understood that I cannot earn much & preserve something precious, I found piggy bank & treasure box will not have much to store if my dustbin is not full"
The disciples placed their items & walked with dustbins in the hand.

Dump those negatives before you carry the piggy bank & treasure box for the rest of your life
