Religion- A Tool or a Weapon

Religion- A Tool or a Weapon

The word religion means different things to different people, it has the power to unite when it is in the hands of the right people, it is lethally divisive when it is in the hands of the wrong people.

Religion is used as tool in community development by philanthropist whereas it is used as a weapon by terrorist in destruction of societies.

When Religion is interpreted by the Matured scholars it has the power to awaken the spiritual quotient, whereas when it is interpreted by the people who have either misunderstood the scriptures or has a vested interest, religion becomes a weapon.

In today's modern world religion has become a subject for discussion & debate where anybody can blog or record their views on it, but such views do have a negative impact which turns to be endless arguments or hate speeches.

We as responsible citizens should use religion for what it is meant for and not to succumb to the misinterpretation and the pseudo-science behind it.

Since religion being a personal affair based on faith, we should neither impose our faith nor prove other's faith wrong.

Instead of handing over a particular religion to the next generation let us give them the freedom to either choose to be religious or not.

Today's diverse world requires a unifying force and not a divisive politics, as a global citizen we should support each other for our needs and not to keep opposing our faith.

If religion has evolved for human well-being let us use it for the same, remember when we are in medical emergency, we ask for a blood and not for a blood from own religious group.

Let us give our blood to save the life and not to use religion to see the blood stains

Listen, Understand and Respond

Listen, Understand and Respond Most of the time, people listen to respond rather than to understand. By the time the other person finishes speaking, the listener is often already formulating a response. Let’s explore what happens in such situations. While listening, we may be trying to engage our logical brain to recall our memories and creativity for a response, or we may be accessing our emotional brain to defend ourselves against what is being said. For example, if one person talks about ways another could improve, the listener might offer excuses such as a lack of time, resources, or support. Alternatively, they may bring up personal emotions, like health or family issues. These reactions often occur while the other person is still speaking, leading to a decreased understanding and an increased eagerness to defend one’s position. During this type of conversation, the listener may appear restless, exhibiting a lack of eye contact or head nodding. In such interactions, th...
