Interest vs Commitment

Interest vs Commitment

When we are interested, we will stay in touch with others at our convenience, when we are committed, we will set aside our time for people

When we are interested, we will physical exercise at our convenience, when we are committed, we will make physical exercise as our routine

When we are interested, we will update our knowledge at our convenience, when we are committed, we will make it as our habit

When we are interested, we will evaluate ourselves at our convenience, when we are committed, we will make it as a part of our to do list

When we are interested, we will go for a medical check-up at our convenience, when we are committed, we will make it as our priority

When we are interested, we will listen to inspiring speeches, when we are committed, we will ensure we will listen to a speech before we hit the bed

When we are interested, we will spend time with our subordinates at our convenience, when we are committed, we will make it as our Goal

When we are interested, we will forward this message at our convenience, when we are committed towards people development, we will do it right now

Interest might help us in starting a task, it is the commitment that helps us to stay focused and completing the same

Interest reveals your intentions, it is the commitment that builds your character

While listening, we may be trying to engage our logical brain to recall our memories and creativity for a response, or we may be accessing our emotional brain to defend ourselves against what is being said. For example, if one person talks about ways another could improve, the listener might offer excuses such as a lack of time, resources, or support. Alternatively, they may bring up personal emotions, like health or family issues. These reactions often occur while the other person is still speaking, leading to a decreased understanding and an increased eagerness to defend one’s position. During this type of conversation, the listener may appear restless, exhibiting a lack of eye contact or head nodding. In such interactions, th...
