Losing
Happiness
There was a middle-aged man who met an Old Monk and
said “I am losing my happiness, what should I do regain it back”
Guruji asked “Did your friends/Relatives/Neighbour/Colleagues
buy anything new?
The middle-aged man thought for a while and said “My
neighbour bought a new high-end, car”
Guruji “Did you ever think, when you will buy such a
car?”
The middle-aged man said “No I didn’t think about,
but my family members were comparing the high-end car with our car while we were
traveling together”
Guruji “Seed for unhappiness is sown when you start
comparing, so came the unhappiness in you”
Middle-aged man asked, “How do we avoid such comparison?”
Guruji said “Respect other people’s victory and
value what you possess”
Happiness
is not about things it is about how we perceive the happenings around us
