 Credit Card Speaking

A conversation between a youngster & credit cards

After a day-long festival shopping, a youngster picked up a pint of beer in one hand and a TV remote in his other hand while he was choosing the channel, a voice said, "it is good to see you investing time in choosing a channel, but we are equally disappointed seeing you swiping us everywhere"

The youngster was following the voice and, he saw three credit cards which jumped from his wallet and each card started introducing, the first card " My name is Master card, I have mastered the art of making you spend"

The second card said, "My name is Visa, I have given you free entry to fulfil your temptations"

The third card said, "I am Rupay, I make you pay like a king without any rupee in your hands"

The youngster was puzzled and, all the three cards started rotating on top of his head and settled down on a table where he placed his beer, Rupay said, "I was swiped to buy this pint"

Master card went closer to an unopened mobile box, which was waiting for an unboxing event and said, "My slave bought this today evening in an offer and, he will remain a slave for a year to a super master called EMI.

Visa ran laughing towards the door, while the youngster was receiving a food parcel and said, I have given him a visa for gastronomy who later will be treated by a Gastroenterologist.

The youngster was annoyed and asked," is using a credit card a mistake?"

The cards said "No"

Master card said, "if you don't master the art of spending, you will start making mistakes while using me"

Visa said, "If you don't have a barricade for spending, you will land up in debt traps"

Rupay said, " Remember, you are paying rupees in a few minutes, which you earned over a month"

The youngster examined his bills and, his forehead started sweating.

Master card said, "You can avoid sweating on your forehead if you stop swiping us for your wants rather than your needs"

The youngster quickly finished his beer and opened his mobile to repay all the cards.

A credit card is a tool for those who are disciplined, and a self-destructive weapon for those who are not. Evaluate who you are, before swiping your card

Being Jaby is being a fine human being.

Being Jaby is being a fine human being.   L&D Global Chennai Chapter was instrumental in bringing Jaby closer to my heart, our journey was not too long, but it was filled with fun, humour, joy and learning too. When Jaby was present, dullness was absent. He filled the hall with his sense of humour, and his thoughts were deep-rooted in bringing the best out of every human. Jaby was the most admired person in any forum; when Jaby picked the mic, the audience pulled themselves to the edge of the chair. Jaby was casual in his appearance, but he was a thorough professional everywhere. During COVID, if there was one person whom I counted on to help people, it was Jaby; his car was filled with masks, sanitizer and an oxygen concentrator. His social bent of mind made him a good Samaritan. Jaby was a curious child, whenever we both met, he was curious to improve his skills and knowledge, and his quest for development was limitless. Jaby and I collaborated in the year ...
