Lessons from Boiling Water

Lessons from  Boiling  Water A middle-aged man met a monk and said, I am confused and unable to decide. The Monk told him to wait, and after a few minutes, he returned and took him to the place where the  water  was boiling.  The Monk said, look at the  water  and correct your appearance. The middle-aged man said I am not able to see my image.  The Monk said, wait for a few minutes. The Monk called the middle-aged man and said now look at the  water  and correct your appearance.  The middle-aged man looked into the  water  and corrected himself. The Monk asked, What was the difference between boiling  water  and this stable  water ? As a middle-aged man, when the  water  was boiling, it was difficult to see my face; once it settled down, it was easy to see. The Monk said boiling  water  has a purpose: to remove unwanted particles and serve it hot. Similarly, confusion eliminates unwanted doubts and narrows our thinking. Once you allow your mind to narrow down, it

Choice

Choice We have a choice to worry about the problem at hand or to solve the problem. We have a choice to be hurt by others' words or ignore those words. We have a choice to  react or to think and respond. We have a choice to accept everything or say No. We have a choice to regret or seek forgiveness. We  have a choice to  sleep an extra hour or wake up to walk a mile. We have a choice to  be indecisive or make a decision and make it right. We have a choice to resist a change or explore the change. We have a choice to spend the extra money or invest a portion of the extra money. Every day, we have choices; the choices we make either break or make our lives.  M.L. Narendra Kumar

Less than a minute Life Lesson -2365 The Need of the Hour-Humanity

Less than a minute Life Lesson -2365 The Need of the Hour-Humanity Instead of identifying yourself with a Nation, race, caste, or religion, identify yourself with humanity. Today, humanity is in demand, and nothing more than that. M.L. Narendra Kumar Director Instivate Learning Solutions PVT LTD www.instivatelearning.in

Less than a minute Life Lesson -2364- Pressure Vs Passion

Less than a minute Life Lesson -2364 Pressure Vs Passion 1When others keep pushing you to achieve numbers, it will be stressful, but pushing yourself to achieve the number will be a passionate act. You can either live under perennial pressure or have a passion for excelling. M.L. Narendra Kumar Director Instivate Learning Solutions PVT LTD www.instivatelearning.in

Less than a minute Life Lesson -2363 Quality time in the present

Less than a minute Life Lesson -2363 Quality time in the present The less you regret the past and worry about the future, the more you will live in the present.   Quality time in the present aids in quality living in the future. Less than a minute Life Lesson -2362 Living for leaving Legacy

Less than a minute Life Lesson -2362 Living for leaving Legacy Some live to leave; some live to leave a legacy. Everyone comes to this earth, some physically and mentally strong, some with specific physical and mental challenges. However, how we perceive the world and decide our purpose defines the legacy we will live. M.L. Narendra Kumar Director Instivate Learning Solutions PVT LTD www.instivatelearning.in

Less than a minute Life Lesson -2361 Competencies and Capabilities

Less than a minute Life Lesson -2361 Competencies and Capabilities When our competencies help others identify their capabilities, we will make a difference in their lives. We can do this only when we start seeing what is right in others. M.L. Narendra Kumar Director Instivate Learning Solutions PVT LTD www.instivatelearning.in

Less than a minute Life Lesson -2360 Ageing-Wisdom in action

Less than a minute Life Lesson -2360 Ageing-Wisdom in action Instead of worrying about saggy skin and grey hairs on the head, appreciate ageing for the wisdom it brings into your life. It allows you to lead a life free from worldly needs and competition. Ageing is inevitable, but being wise is a choice. M.L. Slavery

Slavery People get enslaved into slavery without realising their masters are enslaving them with speeches on holiness, past glory, and promises of an unrealistic future. At the same time, their present is slowly eaten by their master's blue-eyed boys. If they don't realise it, they will be the reason for the generation of slavery.  The big difference between patriotism and jingoism is that a patriot will love his nation but question the leader ruling the country. In contrast, the worshipers will lose the ability to be rational and start defending the leader despite the leader being autocratic. Without people's fear and foolishness, a dictator can never evolve.  M.L.Narendra Kumar

Identifying Training Needs-Reactive and Proactive Approach

Identifying Training Needs-Reactive and Proactive Approach As trainers, we know the words reactive and proactive, which Dr. Stephen Covey popularized in his best-selling book Seven Habits of Highly Effective People. Taking a clue from these words, let us understand how training needs can be analyzed using reactive and proactive approaches. Reactive Approach:  Let us understand this through a simple case study. An IT company got feedback from their client stating that projects are being delayed, there is a lot of communication gap between the stakeholders and above all, being an agile model, there have been changes and conflicts during the execution. After going through this feedback, the L&D was approached to design a training to ensure they don't get such feedback in the future and that they fix the issues with the client for the smooth completion of the project. After having a few rounds of discussion with relevant people. L&D identifies the following topics: 1.

Our reflection is our habit

Our reflection is our habit Our net worth is a reflection of our spending habit  Our network is a reflection of our listening habit  Our Health is a reflection of our eating habit We are what our habits are; the good it is, wealthy, connected and healthy we are.  M.L.Narendra Kumar

Wisdom from Tree

Wisdom from Tree An older man, who had spent many afternoons resting under the shade of this particular tree, was sleeping when he suddenly heard someone calling him. He turned around but couldn't find anyone, so he heard the sound once again and was afraid to be there; the voice gently said, " I am the tree speaking to you." The older man, feeling a sense of familiarity, paid attention to the voice, which started narrating the following: I am an old tree, standing here for centuries, witnessing the world change around me. I might yield little fruits, but my branches have provided shelter to countless creatures, including you.  My roots, deeply embedded, stand as a testament to my resilience in the face of harsh nights and turbulent days. I am cognizant of my transient existence, yet I persist, leaving an indelible mark as furniture, windows, and more. I endure, defying mortality with every breath. My story is one of wisdom and resilience, a tale that can inspire and pr

What if I told you that successful people do things that unsuccessful people don't? Would you be curious to know more?

What if I told you that successful people do things that unsuccessful people don't? Would you be curious to know more? Successful people do what unsuccessful people stop doing. Successful people do what unsuccessful people never started doing, a reminder of the untapped potential within each of us. Successful people do what unsuccessful people consider challenging to do. Successful people do what unsuccessful people consider to be trivial. Successful people try and fail, whereas unsuccessful fail to try. Successful people never stop learning from their failures, whereas unsuccessful stop learning once they fail. Successful people neither take success to their heads nor failure to their hearts, whereas unsuccessful people take failure to their hearts. Successful people never consider success final, whereas unsuccessful people consider failure final. Successful people see opportunities in every obstacle, whereas unsuccessful see opportunities as burdens. To succeed, we must be unco

Less than a minute Life Lesson -2359 Habits

Less than a minute Life Lesson -2359 Habits It is better to change a habit before it becomes an addiction; changing the habit is more manageable than undergoing a deaddiction.  Habits unchanged become a mismanaged life. Less than a minute Life Lesson -2358 Fall vs Downfall.

Less than a minute Life Lesson -2358 Fall vs Downfall. It is better to fall early rather than have a huge downfall later in life. Less than a minute Life Lesson -2357 Fantasy Vs Reality

Less than a minute Life Lesson -2357 Fantasy Vs Reality It is better to face the harsh reality in the present rather than to visualise the false fantasy of the future. Without facing the present, we cannot build the future. Director Instivate Learning Solutions PVT LTD www.instivatelearning.in

Less than a minute Life Lesson -2355 Ice Cube and Life Instead of witnessing the ice cube melt, it is better to mix it with your favourite drink so that you can enjoy your drink and the pleasure of the melting ice cube.
