Story on Gaining Respect

A learned man came across an old monk in a common gathering and said “Master which one brings respect to a person
1. Money
2. Knowledge
3. Relationship

Master with a humble smile said all of the above and none of the above.

The learned man was confused and asked " Master could you be clear

Master said “When you are not clear how can you tell me to be clear"

Learned man smiled and pleaded "can you give me an answer"

Old monk said  " no matter how much of money you have ,if it is not earned in the right way nobody will respect you.

" no matter how much of knowledge you have, but if people do not benefit out of your knowledge they will only see it is a junk"

" If there is a hidden agenda in your relationship people will develop a negative opinion about you and hence you don't gain respect. To gain respect using money, earn to live ,don't live to earn. Share your knowledge to the right person at the right time finally relate with a person without expectations.

Learned man smiled and thanked the monk.
