Cap Seller and the Monkey- New Version

After finishing few hours of sales, a cap man decided to take rest under a tree, after a short nap he was surprised to see his empty basket and turned around to see what has happened to his caps, he didn't find anything and he was shocked to see monkeys wearing the cap, he was wondering how to get back his caps and he threw a stone and he was surprised to see the Monkeys throwing down the mangoes from the tree.

The cap man was clever enough to pick the mangoes and he understood monkeys will do what he does, he got an idea and he removed his cap and threw it down, now the monkeys did the same and got back all his caps.

After few weeks, the cap man's Son faced the same problem and followed what his father did, he was successful in his approach too.

After few years the cap man's grandson was searching for the tree to take rest, but he neither found the tree nor the monkeys, He was recollecting his father's and grandfather’s lessons and sarcastically smiled looking at the basket which had lot of unsold caps. A Monkey came closer to the cap man and said "Your father and grandfather tricked us and took our food, but they forgot that we do have parents and grandparents who taught us how to deal with human beings, today we have relocated to a different place, but it is surprised to see you using the same old  sales channel.

The Monkey said "Remember, you can trick a Monkey once, but not forever, your customers have moved to different channels, stop carrying the baskets, the carts are waiting for the click of the mouse"

The cap man said "you are a shrewd Monkey"

The Monkey said " we were good Monkeys, you made us shrewd"

The cap man lifted his basket and started walking.....

Listen, Understand and Respond

Listen, Understand and Respond Most of the time, people listen to respond rather than to understand. By the time the other person finishes speaking, the listener is often already formulating a response. Let’s explore what happens in such situations. While listening, we may be trying to engage our logical brain to recall our memories and creativity for a response, or we may be accessing our emotional brain to defend ourselves against what is being said. For example, if one person talks about ways another could improve, the listener might offer excuses such as a lack of time, resources, or support. Alternatively, they may bring up personal emotions, like health or family issues. These reactions often occur while the other person is still speaking, leading to a decreased understanding and an increased eagerness to defend one’s position. During this type of conversation, the listener may appear restless, exhibiting a lack of eye contact or head nodding. In such interactions, th...
