The
Fish, Fishing rod and Fishing for Compliment
The Monk said "Right or wrong depends upon who and why it is Showcased"
The Disciple said "I published my work in my company's Communication portal, for which few of them appreciated it but, one of my colleagues, personally sent a message which stated that "Don't fish for compliments"
The Monk asked "After reading the message, how did you feel?"
The Disciple replied "I felt bad"
The Monk said " The happiness that came from few people's appreciation did not last but one negative remark has put you down"
In
life, we don't count our blessings, but we keep multiplying our unhappiness
mentally by worrying about few negatives that we encounter.
Let me ask you few questions
Would you like to ask for a fish or a fishing rod?
The Disciple said " I would ask for a fishing rod"
The Monk asked "Would you like to build your fishing rod or will you ask for a fishing rod?"
The Disciple said "I would like to build my fishing rod"
The Monk asked " aren't the abilities you showcased, is your own fishing rod?"
The Disciple said "Yes"
The Monk said, it is better to prove your ability, than to accept the fish or seek a Fishing rod.
In this competitive world your presence should be felt and your ability should be experienced.
It is better to go with a fishing rod in the hand than a bowl.
If the pond is not lucrative, there is no point in changing the fishing rod, change the pond
