Corona first wave vs second wave-Part-1

Corona first wave vs second wave-Part-1

Corona, we saw you as a killer in the first wave, whereas in the second wave, you proved it.

Corona, in the first wave, you took our elders and sick people, whereas, in the second wave, you came fresh, asking our youngsters

Corona, in the first wave, we clapped to show our solidarity, whereas, in the second wave, you slapped us to prove you are no more the same variant.

Corona, in the first wave, we showed candles to prove our power, whereas, in the second wave, you proved by queuing the dead bodies in the crematorium

Corona, in the first wave, our salaries were reduced, whereas, in the second wave, you came to throw us out of our jobs.

Corona, in the first wave, we had healthy neighbours, whereas, in the second wave, we all are choking together to take our breath

Corona, in the first wave, we felt it was an extended vacation, whereas, in the second wave, it leaves an impression that we are heading for an early retirement

Corona, in the first wave, you were just a wave, whereas, in the second wave, you proved yourself to be a tsunami

Corona, in the first wave, migrant workers, walked back to their homes whereas, in the second wave, you are going leave them homeless

A tiny virus-like you should not be egoistic; we take a bow in front of you to spare ourselves and our next generation.

Listen, Understand and Respond

Listen, Understand and Respond Most of the time, people listen to respond rather than to understand. By the time the other person finishes speaking, the listener is often already formulating a response. Let’s explore what happens in such situations. While listening, we may be trying to engage our logical brain to recall our memories and creativity for a response, or we may be accessing our emotional brain to defend ourselves against what is being said. For example, if one person talks about ways another could improve, the listener might offer excuses such as a lack of time, resources, or support. Alternatively, they may bring up personal emotions, like health or family issues. These reactions often occur while the other person is still speaking, leading to a decreased understanding and an increased eagerness to defend one’s position. During this type of conversation, the listener may appear restless, exhibiting a lack of eye contact or head nodding. In such interactions, th...
