The Golden Ring
He was rushed to the hospital by his father and his friends;
while he was complaining about breathlessness, the hospital staff moved him to
the ward and, a doctor immediately ordered him to connect the oxygen, the nurse
moved closer to the patient and did as instructed by the doctor, unfortunately,
the patient's condition was not stable, he was still struggling to breathe, he
looked at the nurse and touched her golden ring and took his last breath.
The life of the young patient ended in the hospital, instead of
starting a newly married life, the nurse removed the oxygen mask and gave a
final kiss on his forehead.
There might be many more untold stories like this in this
pandemic and, it can be prevented only by our concern towards ourselves and
others.
