Journey of Life

 Journey of Life

A youngster started his journey towards exploring life:

While the youngster was moving forward, an elderly person said, "this route will not take you to your destination, it will lead you to a dead-end" the youngster did not take him seriously and, he started walking & finally, he landed on the dead-end."

A voice said, "it is your ego that has brought you to this dead-end when your ability to learn from others ceases, your ego becomes your master, you turn to be its slave."

The youngster changed his path and started walking in the other direction.  He found some of his fellow travellers doing better than him and said to himself, "People with less intelligence and education are lucky" the voice said, "Your envy does not help you in focusing on your growth, whereas it is burning you with jealousy.

The youngster was very hungry and couldn't find a hotel and said, "this place is sick, there is nothing to eat" the voice said, your " anger never helps you to see things clearly and hence you just crossed a hotel when you cursed your fellow travellers."

The frustrated youngster said, "nothing works in my favour" and crushes the pamphlet, which had the address of helplines for travellers. The voice said, " your ignorance blindfolds you from seeing opportunities and making the right decisions."

As it was turning to be dark, the youngster with fear said, " I am not sure, whether I will reach my destination safely" the voice said, "out of fear, you are not able to see a house with a light in front of you."

The youngster stood blank for a while.

Dear friends,

Every one of us is like this traveller who lives in Ego, Envy, Anger, Ignorance and Fear without realising these outcomes were the inputs of our raw material called thoughts.

Remember, without changing our thoughts, our journey will neither be smooth nor; we will reach our desired destination.

The Modes of Persuasion The modes of persuasion, often referred to as ethical strategies or rhetorical appeals, are devices in rhetoric that classify the speaker's appeal to the audience. They are: ethos, pathos, logos, and the less-used Kairos & telos The above model has been used by Advertisement agencies to grab the attention of the viewers and finally bring them to the purchase desk or use the cart in shopping sites. If we carefully examine the model, it has a sound application in running an effective training program too.
