Targets, Targets that change our lives

Targets, Targets that change our lives

Any target may seem overwhelming when we need more conviction about it. As a salesperson, your belief in what you are selling is crucial for effective persuasion. Before you attempt to sell anything, you must fully embrace your target and treat it as essential as oxygen. The target size doesn't matter; how we approach it matters. Just as neither Rome was built in a day nor the Great Wall of China was constructed in a few hours, we recognise that these monumental achievements began as ideas conceived in the mind. They stand tall today with a daily plan, consistency, discipline, and determination.

Every target should be divided into smaller, manageable chunks, allowing us to focus on those segments daily. A few crores might seem daunting, but breaking it down to hundreds makes it more achievable.

Set daily goals for yourself and work diligently, like an ant. Even when motivation wanes, remain committed to achieving your objectives each day.

We have only about 100 days left, but these days can be thrilling and exciting if we wake up each morning purposefully.

Approach your goals like a warrior fighting to defend the country, an athlete striving to win a gold medal for their nation, or a mother-to-be pushing hard to bring new life into the world. Move forward without dwelling on past failures; focus on accomplishing your tasks and celebrate each goal you achieve with a tick mark.

 Happy Selling!

Listen, Understand and Respond

Listen, Understand and Respond Most of the time, people listen to respond rather than to understand. By the time the other person finishes speaking, the listener is often already formulating a response. Let’s explore what happens in such situations. While listening, we may be trying to engage our logical brain to recall our memories and creativity for a response, or we may be accessing our emotional brain to defend ourselves against what is being said. For example, if one person talks about ways another could improve, the listener might offer excuses such as a lack of time, resources, or support. Alternatively, they may bring up personal emotions, like health or family issues. These reactions often occur while the other person is still speaking, leading to a decreased understanding and an increased eagerness to defend one’s position. During this type of conversation, the listener may appear restless, exhibiting a lack of eye contact or head nodding. In such interactions, th...
