Feed the child
Deep within each of
us is a child yearning for appreciation and recognition. As we grow, we often
concentrate on our duties, pushing forward. Yet, when we are acknowledged, that
inner child experiences sheer joy. Everyone—whether at home or work—craves appreciation.
Sadly, we frequently lean toward criticism and correction. This tendency can overshadow the reinforcement of positive qualities, leading people to disengage and, ultimately, to lower performance.
To inspire those around us—our children, subordinates, or employees—we must take the time to recognize their strengths and gently guide them where improvement is needed. This practice not only sustains relationships but also fuels motivation and empowerment.
