Let's say yes to social distancing and say no to forwards from Social Media

We have been seeing lot of messages about Corona, despite of government warning us not to share any news which is not from the government authorities.

Let's remember not everyone who reads the message will critically evaluate it, not everyone will ignore it and some might take it seriously.

For instance, the Corona cases in India is less compared to other countries will be read by few people as it is okay to venture out

Sending unverified video footages might lead to communal disharmony

Using NASA as an authority to justify messages, without referring to NASA site speaks about our ignorance

Stating that we are better than US, Spain etc in terms of death rate is inhuman, whether an Indian die or an Italian die, it is the human who dies.

There are so many departments India who are functioning right from research, testing, Sanitation, Medical, logistics, public distribution system etc, without knowing their plans and efforts let us not put down the Nation.

More than the virus, the forwards are doing the damages by either spreading false news which results in hoarding or spreading negativity about the government/ community etc

At this Juncture, the only good thing we can do is stay indoors and stop forwarding messages about Corona virus.

Let's distance ourselves from people as well as unverified messages

Listen, Understand and Respond

Listen, Understand and Respond Most of the time, people listen to respond rather than to understand. By the time the other person finishes speaking, the listener is often already formulating a response. Let’s explore what happens in such situations. While listening, we may be trying to engage our logical brain to recall our memories and creativity for a response, or we may be accessing our emotional brain to defend ourselves against what is being said. For example, if one person talks about ways another could improve, the listener might offer excuses such as a lack of time, resources, or support. Alternatively, they may bring up personal emotions, like health or family issues. These reactions often occur while the other person is still speaking, leading to a decreased understanding and an increased eagerness to defend one’s position. During this type of conversation, the listener may appear restless, exhibiting a lack of eye contact or head nodding. In such interactions, th...
