A student was drawing the image of his professor on the toilet wall, whereas his professor was fighting for the student in front of the disciplinary committee.

While the salesman was arguing with his manager for offering the best deal, the customer was undergoing training in negotiation skills.

While listening, we may be trying to engage our logical brain to recall our memories and creativity for a response, or we may be accessing our emotional brain to defend ourselves against what is being said. Alternatively, they may bring up personal emotions, like health or family issues.
