Knowledge is power, we have come across this quote and this quote has been instrumental in removing illiteracy and has helped children from various strata of society to go to school. However, the word knowledge has a broader and deeper meaning, the Chinese teacher who lived between 551-479 B.C has quoted as follows

Real knowledge is to know the extent of one's ignorance

  True knowledge is not about knowing things, it is about realizing and accepting our ignorance and moving from darkness to brightness with humility
