Sun and Hope When we wake up in the morning and see the sun rising, we feel Sun is closer. Similarly when we wake with a fresh mind and think about our goals we feel we are closer to it.   As the day by Sun comes to mid of the Sky and feel it is too far away from us. Similarly when we start getting into daily activities which is not much aligned with our goals, we feel we are too far away from our goals. When we see the sun setting down in the evening, we feel it is going away from us. Similarly after finishing a long day we might feel, our goals are diminishing. If you compare Sun with your Goals you will have mixed feelings. If you compare Sun with Hope you will understand the Sun is all along with you, irrespective of day or night.   If you approach your Goals with hope it doesn't matter how you feel, all you will experience is energy to move forward, remember Sun is a source of energy and hope is source for living. Let your hope rise like the

This game neither requires skills nor rules to play This game neither has a  reason nor has a season to play. This game neither requires a coach nor a trainer to learn. This game can be played by a single person or it can be played by Many. This game has the power to invite the audience to play. There are no winners in this game, every player is a loser. This game neither requires supplements nor steroids. This game gives a sense of relaxation when played later a sense of guilt too. This game never develops competencies it kills ones character. This game ruins families, organization as well as a nation. When played regularly it ruins ones life too. This game has been played in all ages and has been played in many lands. This game is called the blame game, when was the last time you played it? Decide whether you would like to ruin yourself or build yourself? Stop blaming start living. Written By M.L. Life Lesson from Eve Teasing There were 3 students who were travelling in a public transportation. When the bus reached the next stop, a teenage girl got into the bus. She sat in the ladies seat which was adjacent to those students. One of the student glanced at the girl and he immediately turned towards his friends. When his friends inquired about her looks, he said thin, her face is dark, her eyes are small and after few more remarks, he concluded she is like a witch, without a broom stick. All the three were giggling and laughing it out while talking about her. The girl stood and came closer to those students and asked " can I have a word with you gentlemen"? One student acted as if he was afraid to see her. One of them said " are you planning to contest in beauty pageant? After listening to this his friends started laughing loudly. The girl remains silent for a while and said the reason why I wanted to speak to you was to thank you. The students were s
The Blonde In My Dream After a fulfilling day in my regular routines, I just came home to relax with some soothing music videos in you tube and decided to hit the bed early so that I can start the day early. In my sleep I saw a beautiful blonde who was smiling at me in a place which was peaceful near the sea. I just wanted to approach the blonde and I just looked at her and asked who are you? She said “I am your dream? I said “I have not seen you in my real life” She said “if you would have seen me I will not be your dream” I said “why don’t come closer to me, honey! She said “darling I am your dream; if you want me you should come closer to me” I kept few steps forward and I can see her waiting for me. I went closer and said “why don’t you hold my hands” She said “darling I am your dream; you should only hold your dream” When I was holding her hand “I said, honey can I hug you?” She said “I am your dream and you should only hold on to
The story of a White Crayon Most of the time White crayon is not used because we predominantly use white paper. Is it a Crayon's fault or a manufacturing defect? If the same crayon is used on a black sheet the value of the crayon will also go up. Similarly in workplace there are few people who are like this white crayons who has not been given a right position to prove their value. Let children be taught how to use a white crayon on a black paper, Similarly let managers be taught how to give a right position for the team member. As every product comes with a utility value similarly every person has talent. It is up to to us provide the right role and right direction.
Great Vs. Famous This incident happens in a small island which is inhibited with few lakh people which is known for beaches and water sports. The people in the island are united and they work closely with each other and they   celebrate life to the fulllest extent. On a rainy day inside a small airport in the island, one of the famous theatre artist entered the airport and immediately he was surrendered with people to greet him and few of them also took pics with him. While this was happening a middle aged person was hooked with his laptop. After the crowd left, the theatre artist slowly moved towards the middle aged person and sat next to him and he was wondering, when everybody approached him but why this person did not even bother to talk to him. The theatre artist is a  person who would like to constantly improve his performance, he perceived probably the middle aged man did not like his performance so he decided to strike a conversation with him. The theatre artist
Routine How is life? Routine, nothing great How is life in abroad? Mechanical These are some of the regular answers we get from people. Most of the time when we hear the word Routine, we feel it is not an encouraging word to listen. Let us carefully examine how powerful is this word.  Is routine not a life changer?  Is routine not a habit?  Is routine not a reminder? Yes I do agree that some Routine activities are monotonous, but imagine if routine security check is not carried in a busy airport. If Routine safety procedures are not followed in a manufacturing sector. If Routine hygienic checks are not followed in a food industry or in an infant care products. Yes, I am sure by this time you would visualized either a blast, accidents or even a  death. Now let us see something great about Routines. When I asked  few people what are those Routine activities you are proud of... Here are few answers 1. I am proud about  my workout 2. I am proud  about my me
Respect to an Army man We start a day with an exercise to be fit for the rest of the day They are always fit to keep us alive We have a choice of food, choice of dress and we have choice to be there in the office or not They only have no choices but to do and die We can sit and talk democracy But they keep the democracy alive We see the colour of blood on reel They see the colour of blood in real We can see a film hero getting hurt or we can kill a villain with a move of the joy stick Whereas they see the their fellow soldiers getting hurt everyday We can walk and talk by saying “what an idea sirji There are many sirjis who only have a Radio set that says” Roger Over” We can scold the government and stay away from the election booth but they need to stay in their bunkers for days on end We dirty our fingers once in five years Whereas their fingers remain dirty cleaning the borders of the dirty elements Our fight w

But you managers are neither able to attract a subordinate nor retain them.   My master never reads a book on how to motivate nor attends a seminar
Do we ask the right questions? Once I was buying self-development books from the platform near Chennai Railway station. I picked up few books on selling skills and told the platform vendor " don't over charge me, I regularly buy the books from the same shop" The shopkeeper was a young boy who was hardly 16 years old. The young boy told " sir could you repeat what you said" with a doubtful voice I said" don't overcharge me I buy books in your shop regularly ", the boy said " if I would have overcharged you, do you think you would have been my regular customer. These words are still ringing in my mind and I narrate this incident in all my sales training programs. Great sales lesson learnt on the platform.
Story on Gaining Respect A learned man came across an old monk in a common gathering and said “Master which one brings respect to a person 1. Money 2. Knowledge 3. Relationship Master with a humble smile said all of the above and none of the above. The learned man was confused and asked " Master could you be clear Master said “When you are not clear how can you tell me to be clear" Learned man smiled and pleaded "can you give me an answer" Old monk said  " no matter how much of money you have ,if it is not earned in the right way nobody will respect you. " no matter how much of knowledge you have, but if people do not benefit out of your knowledge they will only see it is a junk" " If there is a hidden agenda in your relationship people will develop a negative opinion about you and hence you don't gain respect. To gain respect using money, earn to live ,don't live to earn. Share your knowledge to th
Are we good at Judging People? When I was travelling with my client in Nellore, We were struck in a busy road, due to a tricycle which was loaded with heavy packages. My client was continuously honking, but the vehicle did not move. Client" bloody dumb, what the hell he is doing" Suddenly we saw a man who was smoking a beedi  came rushing to move the vehicle. Client" look at this fellow, Naren he was happily smoking and now he is rushing. The vehicle moved forward and we saw the tricycle person riding it after he got a push \. We were observing this and we saw the man with the beedi, going back to the place, he rushed from, when I took a close look he was a cobbler who came forward to help the tricycle person. My client looked at me and said avasara paten (  I was too fast in judging) The cobbler exhibited leadership, Emotional intelligence and true humanity. In order to imbibe this we spend time on training people to learn and exhibit t
Do you have an unpaid Consultant? In one of my training sessions I asked " what is your opinion about negative feedback?" I did get many answers like bad, depressed, it is routine etc. But one participant said there is nothing called negative feedback. When I asked him to explain, he said feedback is a Gift, many were surprised in the class and few did give a weird look.  He said we don't reject gifts, we either use it or keep it away. When someone is giving you a feedback it can be a perception or a judgement, it is you who decides how to use it. He finally concluded when someone has the guts and the concern to tell you are wrong he need not be your enemy he is an unpaid consultant. Dear friends do you have an unpaid consultant next to you?
How tolerant are we? When I was travelling in a call taxi, I came across a situation where my call taxi driver encountered a poor driving. The driver immediately stopped and he was about to scold the other car driver but as soon as he saw the L board he stopped and gave a smile. When I asked him why he didn't scold ,he said, "He is a learner." During my rest of the journey I was thinking about this incident. After few hour these were some of the questions in my mind.  1. Do we have the similar tolerance when teach our children? 2. Do we have the similar tolerance when we handle the trainees? 3. Do we have the similar tolerance when we handle the participants? Friends From the above road incident my key takeaway was, the greatest mistake is not the mistake, it is the inability to forgive the mistake. Hope this real time incident would have sensitized you towards others mistakes.
Classifying Generation-Specific to India As we are aware that west has classified it’s generation as stated below ·          Traditionalist:  1900-1945-World war- Great Depression ·          Baby boomers- 1946-1964-Civil Rights- Space travel ·          Gen-X-1965-1980-Energy Crisis- Double Income ·          Gen-y-1980-2000-Digital World ·            I have been asking myself: ·          Should India use the same terms to classify? ·          First of all did we pass through the same events? With this seed in my mind I was researching and studying about our Nation. I have been actively writing about India every day for 445 days in my groups and I’m sure this mission will continue. The above activity has helped me to understand some little facts about this mammoth called India and finally I have classified our nation on these grounds. Strugglers- Pre 1947- Freedom fighters- S waraj was the one point agenda for many- Bhagat Singh, Mahatma Gandhi etc.
What the hell is Aadi Masam?                           When I go back to my Childhood I always associate Aadi month with kite flying and L.R. Eswari songs …, Mari amma, yengal Mari amma (a great track with powerful voice) During those days it was exciting to come back to home from the school for one reason and that was my thread and the kite. In weekends nearby temples used to play song in those cone speakers, though it was noisy, but we did have a festival mood. Years passed by those speakers were looking like cacophony machines and those Aadi rituals, were looking senseless.  Slowly I was critical about all these practices and started questioning it and finally I was branded as Anti-religion and I started my journey into being a critical thinker. Once I was critically evaluating Aadi month and its rituals which slowly made me explore what is this all about. The first thing that I understood about Aadi was newly married couple are not supposed to be t
