A
career is a part of life and not life.
Remember that your career is just one
part of your life, not the entirety of it. Failure in your career does not
equate to failure in life. Beyond your career, there is more to life, such as
finding your purpose and passionately pursuing it. Many people find harmony and
peace through hobbies and discovering a deeper meaning in life.
In today's fast-paced world, children
are often pushed to be career-oriented, employees relentlessly chase their
dream designations, and entrepreneurs strive to join the millionaire and
billionaire clubs. It's important to remember that the more you engage in your
career, the more you may disengage from your life. Eventually, you may have
money but lack harmony; you may have a spouse but not love, and you may have
children without care. An inner voice may question whether this is what you
aspired for, and even when surrounded by people, you may feel lonely.
Like any long journey, you also need a
break. This break isn't solely for vacationing and taking selfies in exotic
places; it's about turning inward and revisiting your purpose.
The
career should not be at the cost of life
