Pencil
Box and Life
Most of us have carried a pencil box containing a
pencil, eraser, sharpener, and ruler. These essential stationery items
introduced us to the world of learning. Interestingly, these items are still
relevant to us, but in a different way—as qualities necessary for leading a
better life.
The pencil symbolizes the ability to capture
learning in life, the eraser represents the ability to correct our mistakes and
forgive others' mistakes, the sharpener represents the need for
self-improvement, and finally, the ruler symbolizes our ability to measure our
performance.
No life is free from learning, mistakes, growth, and
self-evaluation.
Whenever ego gets in the way, open the
pencil box within yourself and activate the learner in you.
