Overcoming Heuristic Biases
Sometimes, we overestimate the
information we have when making a decision, neglecting other data that could be
helpful. This bias, known as the Availability Heuristic, can lead to poor
decision-making.
To overcome such biases, it is vital to
have someone who can critically analyse the information available to us and
assist in incorporating additional relevant information before we arrive at a
decision.
