Overcoming Dunning Krugger Effect
gger Effect
Being confident is important, but being
overconfident can be detrimental. Sometimes, we overestimate our skills and
knowledge, leading us to make decisions that may not turn out well. This
tendency is known as the Dunning-Kruger effect. If we don’t recognise and
address these biases, they can lead to significant failures.
To avoid such biases, we should acknowledge
that others may possess more significant expertise than we do and be willing to
seek their input when making important decisions.
