The Candle’s Legacy
A candle was slowly burning down
to its end. As the wax melted away, it seemed to take on the shape of a human
face. In a soft, urgent voice, it called out to its master: “Quickly, bring a
new candle and light it from my flame.” The master hurriedly fetched another
candle and lit it from the dying light. A few minutes later, the old candle had
melted completely, but the new candle kept glowing and brightened the room.
A
leader should be like that candle. As they grow older, they pass on their
knowledge and wisdom to the next generation, helping others succeed. Whether
you are an entrepreneur or a workplace manager, your job is not only to keep
the organisation bright during your lifetime. It is also to ensure that the
legacy of good practices lives on for generations.
