A
dialogue between Need, Comfort and Luxury
I was reading a dialogue between Need, Comfort, and
Luxury. Luxury initiated the discussion by expressing a distaste for
individuals who only settle for basic needs, and Comfort agreed, while need
dissented. Luxury argued that those who aspire to be luxurious give their best,
and Comfort added that those seeking a comfortable life are willing to step out
of their comfort zone to embrace it. Need emphasized the importance of
experiencing each concept before truly understanding them.
Luxury claimed to foster creativity and fuel the
economy, a point with which Comfort concurred. Need then offered an insightful
observation about the subjective nature of need, comfort, and luxury,
highlighting their variability based on individual desires.
Need then related a story about a man driving a
luxurious car who urgently sought water due to extreme thirst, prompting a
discussion about the value of the basic need for water over the luxuries of
life. Surprisingly, both Luxury and Comfort asked for water, highlighting the
significance of this fundamental need.
Need concluded by underscoring the importance of
safeguarding needs and gradually advancing to fulfill other desires, cautioning
against excessive materialism and emphasizing the value of living a simple life
free from financial burdens and health issues.
"Before allowing your greed to take over, it's
important to take the time to define and understand your needs clearly."
