When Truth and Lie met

When Truth and Lie met

When Lie met Truth with a sardonic grin, it was a meeting of two opposing forces. In its twisted way, the lie praised Truth, 'You are becoming a rare quality in the modern world.' Truth, in agreement, nodded and replied, 'You are right.' In its pervasive nature, Lie boasted, 'I am everywhere, from the heads of nations to the youngest in kindergartens. I provide a sense of relief and help people escape from others.'

The Truth gazed into the eyes of Lie and declared, 'While you spoke to me, you never dared to meet my gaze. But I, talking to you while looking into your eyes, that's the significant difference between us.

You lie and keep people shackled with guilt and regret, slowly eroding their self-respect and strength. You lie, you are the tool of the selfish, the poison of society, and one day, you will be the downfall of those who misuse you. In contrast, I, Truth, instil courage, self-esteem, and readiness to face reality. I am the architect of character.

Some liars were chased and beaten to death; their pseudo-success stories have been burnt. I do agree that sometimes even people who spoke the Truth have been killed, but they are martyrs forever and sound examples for the next generation, whereas liars live a caution for the next generation.

Since you are widely spread, you are not correct, and I am rare, it doesn’t mean I am wrong; precious metals are rare finds, but mosquitos are not.

Mr Liar, now you know who you are and what you are. In the coming days, due to the advent of technology, people cannot lie about their whereabouts, and others can ask to switch cameras, which will become embarrassing for them. More lie detectors are on the way, and tools are being developed to ensure that you become dormant over some time.

Ultimately, Truth prevails, and Lies are forced to lay down their arms. The victory of Truth over Lies is not a matter of if but when.

Listen, Understand and Respond

Listen, Understand and Respond Most of the time, people listen to respond rather than to understand. By the time the other person finishes speaking, the listener is often already formulating a response. Let’s explore what happens in such situations. While listening, we may be trying to engage our logical brain to recall our memories and creativity for a response, or we may be accessing our emotional brain to defend ourselves against what is being said. For example, if one person talks about ways another could improve, the listener might offer excuses such as a lack of time, resources, or support. Alternatively, they may bring up personal emotions, like health or family issues. These reactions often occur while the other person is still speaking, leading to a decreased understanding and an increased eagerness to defend one’s position. During this type of conversation, the listener may appear restless, exhibiting a lack of eye contact or head nodding. In such interactions, th...
