More and More

As greed increasingly dominates society, the gap between the affluent and the impoverished widens, creating a stark contrast that is impossible to ignore.

When politicians become entrenched in corruption, discontent grows among the populace, leading to a restlessness that disrupts the social fabric.

A relentless focus on maximizing profits can lead to a growing dissatisfaction among customers, who may feel that their needs and preferences are being overlooked in pursuing financial gain.

As pressure mounts on employees to perform at ever-higher levels, the stress they experience often spills over into their personal lives, affecting their well-being and relationships.

An obsessive emphasis on academic grades fuels the rise of numerous coaching centers, all vying to prepare students to meet these inflated expectations.

The proliferation of delivery apps leads to a more sedentary lifestyle, as convenience promotes laziness, resulting in a shift away from physical activity.

The rampant sale of junk food contributes to rising health issues, subsequently increasing the demand for various medications to address the consequences of poor dietary choices.

In societies where firearms are widely used, an unfortunate side effect is the increased need for flowers, particularly roses, to craft wreaths for those lost to violence.

When we fail to recognize the balance between abundance and scarcity, we jeopardize our well-being, suffering both mentally and physically as we navigate an increasingly complex world.

Listen, Understand and Respond

Listen, Understand and Respond Most of the time, people listen to respond rather than to understand. By the time the other person finishes speaking, the listener is often already formulating a response. Let’s explore what happens in such situations. While listening, we may be trying to engage our logical brain to recall our memories and creativity for a response, or we may be accessing our emotional brain to defend ourselves against what is being said. For example, if one person talks about ways another could improve, the listener might offer excuses such as a lack of time, resources, or support. Alternatively, they may bring up personal emotions, like health or family issues. These reactions often occur while the other person is still speaking, leading to a decreased understanding and an increased eagerness to defend one’s position. During this type of conversation, the listener may appear restless, exhibiting a lack of eye contact or head nodding. In such interactions, th...
