She lives in me

She lives in me

When I close my eyes, her radiant smile is the first image that fills my mind: a beacon of warmth and joy. Yet, when I open my eyes to the world around me, I am met with a disheartening reality: a cruel and unforgiving landscape that seems devoid of beauty.

As I surrender to sleep, I find myself immersed in a dreamscape where we coexist in perfect harmony, laughing, talking, and sharing intimate moments as if time stands still. But when the morning light breaks through, I awaken to the stark contrast of daymares—fragments of reality that remind me of the loneliness that creeps in when I face the day.

In moments of solitude, I often reflect on her presence. Although she is not physically beside me, I carry her essence within my memories. The thought of her brings me an unexpected smile, a flicker of happiness that ignites my spirit.

She may be missing from my side, but within me, she remains ever-present—a part of my very being.

Though her voice cannot be heard in the silence around me, I can almost hear it echoing in my mind, wrapping around me like a comforting embrace.

Despite the physical distance that separates us, she feels closer to me than anyone else ever could, nestled deep within my heart.

Would you like to know who she is and where she resides in my life?

She is a woman I have conjured in my imagination, a radiant figure with whom I share dreams, aspirations, fears, and intimate moments, creating a connection that transcends reality itself.

Listen, Understand and Respond

Listen, Understand and Respond Most of the time, people listen to respond rather than to understand. By the time the other person finishes speaking, the listener is often already formulating a response. Let’s explore what happens in such situations. While listening, we may be trying to engage our logical brain to recall our memories and creativity for a response, or we may be accessing our emotional brain to defend ourselves against what is being said. For example, if one person talks about ways another could improve, the listener might offer excuses such as a lack of time, resources, or support. Alternatively, they may bring up personal emotions, like health or family issues. These reactions often occur while the other person is still speaking, leading to a decreased understanding and an increased eagerness to defend one’s position. During this type of conversation, the listener may appear restless, exhibiting a lack of eye contact or head nodding. In such interactions, th...
