Physically Lonely, but mentally not
We might be alone physically, but we do not have to be mentally. When our thoughts are filled
with worries and fears, it is equivalent to wasting our hard-earned money, as
neither our worries nor fears provide any value or return. On the other hand,
if we focus on happy memories from the past or constructively think about the
future, it is like wisely investing money that will yield future returns.
Reflecting on past joyful moments allows us to smile in the present; this is the value those memories bring to our lives. When we think about building a better future, we can secure ourselves and avoid making poor decisions. Remember, humans are thinking machines; we either dwell on the past or contemplate the future. Therefore, paying attention to how we use our loneliness is essential.
