Dumping Yard or a Garden?

In a busy city, there was a person who had an independent house surrendered by some empty land which had some unwanted plants and weeds adjacent to his neighbourhood.

The neighbouring house was empty for a few months and it was purchased by a new person. The new neighbour started cleaning the house and started disposing the waste on the empty land, which was not noticed by the landowner.

One fine day he saw his empty land with unwanted waste and he decided to remove it by himself.

After a few weeks, he noticed that his land was getting used as littering zone and he didn't like the way it was handled by his neighbour. Due to his submissive nature, he was in a dilemma about whether to confront his neighbour or not.

One day he narrated these incidents to his close friend who is not only a well-wisher but also a psychologist too. The psychologist had a lengthy discussion with him and suggested few measures to ensure his land will not be misused for dumping waste.

Next day the landowner hired a person to clean up the land and took the help of a landscape Consultant who converted the unused land into a beautiful Garden within a few weeks.

One day the neighbour came to the terrace and he was surprised to see a beautiful Garden with colourful flowers and he decided to take some snaps. While he was doing so, he saw his maid, who came with some waste to dump it in the neighbour’s land and he immediately stopped her from doing so.

After a few months, the garden was filled with flowers and some fruit-bearing trees. The neighbour who witnessed this volunteered to appreciate the landowner and gave some new plants and requested to pluck some fruits too.

The psychologist visited the garden and appreciated his friend’s efforts to maintain the garden.

One day psychologist was lecturing on the power of the mind and he took the above case a reference.

He said the mind can be a dumping yard or a garden, it depends upon how we maintain it.

He narrated the following; in the first stage my friend did not take care of his land and hence his land was filled with weeds. Similarly, if we don't maintain our mind, we start developing unwanted thoughts

In the second stage, the overgrown weeds and unwanted plants attracted unwanted waste and his land become a dumping yard, Similarly, the mind with unwanted thoughts attracts negativity.

In the third stage, the new garden is like a fresh mind which prevents unwanted thoughts

In the fourth stage, the beautiful Garden is like a positive mind which not only attracted to give some positive thoughts, it also resulted in taking some positive ideas too.

The psychologist concluded by stating that mind and empty land has something in common "Maintenance and Cultivation"

A well-maintained land can become a garden as well as fruit-bearing yard, similarly, a well-maintained mind can become a beautiful zone of positive thoughts as well as it can motivate self and inspire others for well-being.

Remember your mind is like an empty land it can either be a dumping yard or a garden, it depends upon you and your Attitude towards your life.

Happy Gardening, Fruitful Harvesting
