People around you

When you feel sick, it is your family that will stay next to you, not your ward councillor, unless he/she is related to you

When you require a medicine, it is your mother or spouse who will give you the right dosage not your Local MLA, unless he/she is related to you

When you want to move from your bed it is your son /brother or your father who will give his hand not your MP, unless he/she is related to you

When you want to go for medical examination, it is your neighbour who might accompany you to the hospital not your Health Minister, unless he /she is related to you

When the pain is unbearable, a call from your friend is more relieving than the call from the Telecom Minister, unless he/she is related to you

When you feel uneasy, it is your colleague who will help you reach your home, not your HR Minister, unless he/she is related to you

When you are bed ridden you might be visited by your relatives and well-wishers with either some fruits or age-old Horlicks not your ruling party, unless you are related to the party

Remember, all these Family members, friends, colleagues, neighbours and well-wishers might be in any of the what's app group and every person will have their own political and religious ideologies.

Either respect it or avoid the discussion on it. Maturity is accepting the differences and avoiding the confrontation.

A good family bonding, a good friendship and a good relationship are beyond political ideologies and religious ideologies.

We might not know how many people would be walking in our funeral but still the number of people in the funeral will sum up our life in terms of relationship with others

Respecting Ideologies is more important than accepting or rejecting the Ideologies

Listen, Understand and Respond

Listen, Understand and Respond Most of the time, people listen to respond rather than to understand. By the time the other person finishes speaking, the listener is often already formulating a response. Let’s explore what happens in such situations. While listening, we may be trying to engage our logical brain to recall our memories and creativity for a response, or we may be accessing our emotional brain to defend ourselves against what is being said. For example, if one person talks about ways another could improve, the listener might offer excuses such as a lack of time, resources, or support. Alternatively, they may bring up personal emotions, like health or family issues. These reactions often occur while the other person is still speaking, leading to a decreased understanding and an increased eagerness to defend one’s position. During this type of conversation, the listener may appear restless, exhibiting a lack of eye contact or head nodding. In such interactions, th...
