What is Beautiful?

What is Beautiful?

Possessing qualities that give great pleasure or satisfaction to see, hear, think about, etc., delighting the senses or mind.

The word beautiful is associated with people, nature, art etc., but the definition talks about giving a sense of satisfaction to what we see, hear etc.

Now let us explore what is beautiful?

For a child who has been a labour, a pencil and notebook are beautiful.

For a man who was starving for days, a slice of bread is beautiful

For a patient who was finding it difficult to walk, a walking stick is beautiful

For grandparents, seeing their grandchildren after many years is beautiful

For school children, meeting their friends after a pandemic will be beautiful

For a desert wanderer, drinking water is beautiful

For a Policeman, sitting under the shade after regulating the traffic on a sunny day is beautiful

For a soldier, a leave sanction letter is beautiful

For a surgeon, after long hours of surgery, picking a hot cup of beverage is beautiful.

Beauty need not be artistic or pretty; it is something that, gives us a sense of satisfaction and happiness.

Remember, for a hungry stomach, food on the plate is more beautiful than the painting on the wall
