Respect the Giver
A fruit that falls
from the tree can never return; it lies on the ground. Those who appreciate the
fruit may pick it up and eat it, while others might ignore it, leaving it to be
run over by a vehicle or to dry out on the road. Although the tree knows the
fate of the fruit, it never stops yielding new fruit with each season. The tree
stands tall and continues its work until it can no longer do so, serving
humanity as long as it is strong.
Similarly, some
people offer advice, suggestions, and ideas to those around them. Some accept
their input, some find it boring, and others may even mock them. Yet, those who
choose to share their wisdom do not stop, as long as they are able and healthy.
We should respect
those who give without expecting anything in return, just as a tree gives
without expecting anything in return. They are rare and bring fresh air with
their thoughts, offering ideas that can enrich our lives.
Next time you
encounter someone who gives freely of themselves, take the time to listen.
Doing so may allow you to enjoy the fruits of their wisdom.
