Thank you, Sun
Some days, you don't rise at all.
Some days are hidden.
Some days, you are gentle with
us.
Some days, you burn us.
Some days, you linger for long hours.
Some days, you disappear early.
You are a symbol for some
political parties,
And you appear on the flags of some nations.
You are a free supplier of Vitamin D,
a friend to farmers, though sometimes you can be their enemy.
You are the reason people consume cool drinks and watermelons.
Some hate you when they come from cooler places,
while others love you when they are in a chilly spot, seeking warmth.
You shine in yellow sometimes,
orange at times, and red like fire.
Though your friend the moon is often compared to beauty,
You possess your own beauty,
captivating those who long to see you rise and set.
We look to you with gratitude
during our harvest festival.
You are hot and make us sweat,
Yet without you, there is no energy to be found.
Thank you, Sun — the son of the
soil,
the source of energy and brightness,
Often compared to the brightness in life.
