Activate the child within.
If there is one phase
of life that lingers in our minds, it is childhood. During this time, we were
eager to receive a simple chocolate, excited to play in the rain, and although
the sun was hot outside, we felt cool and ready to face it. Playing games and
spending time with friends were our top priorities. Trying something new and
sometimes failing was simply part of being a child. We had our disagreements,
but we never truly fought; we might have stopped speaking to friends for a
while, but we were never enemies for life. We sat next to each other, where
religion or caste did not matter; we were children united by friendship and
nothing more.
Each of us has
beautiful memories that could fill a book, where we could script chapters about
crawling on sand, standing on benches, jumping from place to place, teasing
each other, and standing up for one another. Every aspect of our childhood
holds a lesson that can be applied in our present lives.
To lead a life filled
with peace and happiness, let us keep the child alive within us. Let us laugh,
stay connected with our friends, learn to forget and forgive, and not hesitate
to make mistakes so we can continue learning and creating like children.
Though we may have
physically grown and our bodies may become weaker, let us not deactivate the
child within us that keeps our hearts and souls young.
This Children's Day, let us revive our childhood
memories and activate the child within us to bring smiles to our faces and love
to our hearts.
