The Sun and the Rain in you

The Sun and the Rain in you

It was a cloudy day, and the sun was not visible in the sky. When the sun tried to shine, a cloud said to it, "Take some rest. You have been tirelessly rising and shining every day." The sun replied with a broad smile, "Thank you for understanding me. But remember, if I don't rise for a while, the Earth will suffer from low energy." The cloud nodded and said, "Yes, you are right, but once in a while, you should take a break." Then, the rain joined the discussion. "Friends, give me a chance to play my role, too. If I am not there, the Earth will sink into drought." The sun and the cloud agreed.

The beautiful moon appeared with elegance and said, "Since I am being explored more by humans, I would like to draw a parallel to human nature." The other three were drawn towards the moon, who continued, "There are people like the sun, who tirelessly work and show up daily to play their roles effectively. But they should also realise: if the sun can take a rest, why can't they? Other people are like the rain; they may only appear once in a while to quench the thirst for knowledge. The world should respect both those who tirelessly show up every day and those who come occasionally to provide essential insights."

Whether in an organisation or a home, we need both types of people: those who show up daily and those who come once in a while to fill the pond of knowledge.

Nature is a vast university where we learn life lessons through its seasons. If we understand the philosophy of nature, we can understand the psychology behind human behaviour.

Be a sun to improve your own life, and be a rain to improve the lives of others.

The Modes of Persuasion The modes of persuasion, often referred to as ethical strategies or rhetorical appeals, are devices in rhetoric that classify the speaker's appeal to the audience. They are: ethos, pathos, logos, and the less-used Kairos & telos The above model has been used by Advertisement agencies to grab the attention of the viewers and finally bring them to the purchase desk or use the cart in shopping sites. If we carefully examine the model, it has a sound application in running an effective training program too.
