Let Them Pass.
If people only value you for the car
you drive, drive them out of your life. A car is merely iron and gasoline. If simplicity defines
your life, embrace it.
If people only value
you for the branded clothes you wear, remove them from your life. Clothes are
merely fabric and thread. If being natural is your definition of life, go ahead
and be natural.
If people only value
you for the position you hold, push them away from your life. A title is merely
paper and printed words. If being grounded is your way of life, go ahead and
stay grounded.
If people only value
you for the luxury house you live in, open the door and let them leave your
life. A house is merely bricks and cement. If true happiness for you is any
place that feels like a home, go ahead and be at home there.
If people only value
you for the international destinations you have visited, revoke their visa to
your life. A passport stamp is merely ink. If you find bliss right where you
are, go ahead and enjoy the elegant garden of your own life.
If people only value
you for the size of your paycheck, bounce them from your life. Money is just a
number. If contentment is your purpose, find joy in the few dollars in your
hand.
If people only relate
to you for what they can get, reject their expectations and live by your own
definition of life.
It is your life, and
you alone can define it and lead it. Others are merely passing clouds; let them
pass. Be a mute spectator rather than analysing them or accepting them as
important. They are important to neither themselves nor you.
