Don’t Blame the Destination, Check Your Map

Don’t Blame the Destination, Check Your Map

If you set out on a journey and ended up in the wrong place, would you curse the destination? Of course not. You’d retrace your steps. You’d ask yourself: Where did I take a wrong turn? Did I misread the signs?

Life is no different.

When you find yourself in a season of discomfort—when the place you’re standing feels painful, stagnant, or far from where you hoped to be—it’s easy to point fingers. You might blame your job, your circumstances, or the people around you. You might even glance up at the stars and wonder if the universe has it out for you.

But here’s the truth: the stage you’re on didn’t build itself. You walked onto it, one choice at a time.

Instead of blaming the present, pause and reflect. Look back at the path you took. Examine your priorities. Revisit your decisions. Sift through the relationships you nurtured and the ones you neglected. Acknowledge the mistakes—not to punish yourself, but to understand. Every wrong turn holds a lesson, if you’re brave enough to look.

And here’s the good news: it’s never too late to change direction.

There’s an old saying, often misquoted but always true: "Better late than never." It’s not just a clichĂ©—it’s a lifeline. No matter how far off course you feel, you can always set a new destination. You can choose a better path, one that leads toward the life you truly want.

So let’s stop blaming others. Let’s stop blaming the stars. The power to course-correct doesn’t lie in the sky—it lies within you.

Take full ownership of your journey. Reflect, reset, and move forward. Discover the potential that’s been yours all along. Harness it. And before you leave this planet, become the person you were always meant to be—in your own chosen field, on your own terms.

The Modes of Persuasion The modes of persuasion, often referred to as ethical strategies or rhetorical appeals, are devices in rhetoric that classify the speaker's appeal to the audience. They are: ethos, pathos, logos, and the less-used Kairos & telos The above model has been used by Advertisement agencies to grab the attention of the viewers and finally bring them to the purchase desk or use the cart in shopping sites. If we carefully examine the model, it has a sound application in running an effective training program too.
