The Slow Suicide of the Soul

The Slow Suicide of the Soul

Most people think they are living, but in reality, they are killing themselves every day. They kill themselves with regrets of the past and worries of the future. They kill themselves with hate and hostility toward others, always trying to prove someone wrong.

They kill themselves with jealousy, constantly comparing themselves to others. They slowly destroy themselves by talking about things that are beyond their control.

They defend their favourite politicians, who quietly siphon their hard-earned money through taxes. They defend their favourite celebrities, who are busy building their own standard of living.

They kill themselves with greed, acquiring things that satisfy nothing but their ego—possessions that have nothing to do with their actual needs.

The irony is that we all walk past these walking dead bodies every day. They are dressed in branded clothing, driving branded cars, eating at branded restaurants, all while believing they are elite. They have forgotten that they are dead—both morally and spiritually.

Welcome to the world of the walking dead: people who are dead in mind, yet still living in body.
