Friendly Mask
The irony in life is that there are strangers who
admire us, follow us, and like us too, but unfortunately, we don't recognise
that, and hence we don't befriend them or add them to our friends' list.
Whereas there are haters who are masked as friends, who badmouth us, who wish
for our downfall, but they wear a mask of love and care, behind which is hate
and jealousy. Unfortunately, we don't realise this until we face dire
consequences because of these people.
Maturity is understanding who a true friend is and
who is not. This can be understood only when we stop making early judgments,
overcome our biases, and sometimes it is better to draw a line and decide to
what extent people can come into our lives.
It is better to realise early and correct than to
regret and correct later.
