Leadership - A Nurturing Act

Leadership - A Nurturing Act

A Gardner was investing time with every plant he was growing, and he went to the extent of talking to each plant.

The owner of the house was witnessing this and out of inquisitiveness asked the Gardner about his approach, the Gardener replied - There are two factors that helps the plants to grow better, one is physical nurturing and next is emotional nurturing.

Physical nurturing along with the environment will strengthen the plant and Emotional nurturing will help the plant to face the difficulties that might arise. As a Gardner I should do both to see the plant grows as a fruit bearing tree.

While the owner was traveling to his office he was reflecting upon the Gardner's words and decided to call his Managers for sharing his insights.

The owner called the Managers and said subordinates are like plants we need to physically nurture them by giving the right work environment and we need to Mentally nurture them by investing one to one with them.

An organisation can become a beautiful garden or a fruit bearing farm, it depends upon the Leaders and their approach towards their subordinates

Every employee is like a plant who would like to break the ground and grow into a tree, all they require is a Leader with a Gardener Attitude
